What Makes It Tick
At the heart of this thing is a 2500W halogen tube, and it runs on a 400V supply. We went with this high-voltage, high-power combo because it packs a ton of heat into a small space—just 300mm long. It’s simple physics: more power in a smaller footprint means faster drying. But, and this is important, that power needs a solid electrical setup. The 400V line can handle the load, but you have to make sure your circuit and switchgear are rated for that kind of sustained power. That’s how you avoid things getting dangerously hot at the connections.
Built to Last
We wrapped the element in a quartz tube with a special halogen coating. This lets it run hotter, for longer, without burning out, so you get consistent infrared heat over thousands of cycles. The R7s connector is the standard here, and for good reason. It gives you a secure, two-point contact that safely handles the high current. This whole design is tough enough for the shop floor. And the best part? It’s a direct, drop-in replacement, so when maintenance day comes, you’re not stuck waiting around.
How It Feels In The Real World
Out in the field, this setup finally solves the problem of slow, uneven drying. The shortwave infrared energy gets right inside the material and blasts the moisture out, fast. For the folks who need reliability, that’s exactly what you get. It’s a robust, high-output heat source that fits right into the standard mounting spots. Now, the trade-off is heat. That 2500W output creates a lot of ambient warmth, so whatever enclosure you use needs proper ventilation or heat shielding.
