Inside, you’ve got a shortwave infrared halogen element that’s all about speed. It packs a lot of power into a small space, so the temperature at the printed surface jumps up fast. We went with a high-voltage design on purpose. It lets us deliver that power through a short element, which means the heat stays focused right where you need it. That focused punch is what gets the ink surface-dry almost instantly. The energy hits the ink, drives off the solvents, and the glass underneath stays cool. Just keep two things in mind: you’ll need enough clearance around the lamp, and your control system needs to handle the startup current and the heat load.
The parts that make it tough—and smart
The envelope is quartz. Why? Because it can handle sudden temperature changes without cracking, and it stays steady even when things get seriously hot. And the halogen cycle? That’s what keeps the filament stable over the life of the lamp. So the output doesn’t drift, and your drying results stay consistent. That mirror silvering isn’t just for looks. It reflects infrared energy back onto the target, so you get more effective heat where it matters and less wasted. Installation is straightforward, too. The lamp uses an R7s connector—compact, proven, and simple. It drops right into standard holders, so swapping lamps on the line doesn’t mean reworking the fixture.
