Standard infrared heaters are okay for basic stuff, but they usually struggle with specialty glass. If you’re working with rare earth oxides or specific decolorizers, your glass is picky. It only wants to absorb energy at very specific wavelengths. That’s where we come in. Instead of just throwing heat at the problem, we tune our emitters to match the molecular frequency of your specific glass formula. It’s the difference between shouting into a room and having a direct conversation. The physics side of things Most heaters you buy off a shelf just blast a broad spectrum of heat. A lot of that energy never even hits the glass—it just wastes away heating up the air or your furnace walls. We fix this by messing with the filament composition and doping the quartz envelope. This shifts the emission curve so the lamp’s peak matches your glass’s absorption peak. The result? The heat actually sinks deep into the bottle wall. You stop dealing with that annoying “cold core” you get in thick-walled containers. The trade-offs (because there’s always a catch) Tuning the spectrum means using specialized materials.
